Recovery & Advancement of Informal Sector Employment (RAISE) project:

Project Duration: 5 years (2022-2026)

The RAISE project facilitating employability and increase productivity of informal sector, and
provide financial assistance to 175,000 low-income youths, micro-entrepreneurs and COVID-19
affected micro-entrepreneurs in urban and peri-urban areas across the country. RDS
implementing at Sherpur, Jamalpur and Mymensingh district from August 2022. The project
jointly financed by the World Bank and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF). Major
Activities are: Provide training; Provide and liking to the financial services; and Provide
technical services.
Objective:  
The overall objective of the project implemented by PKSF is to enhance the access to earning
opportunities for low-income youth, including COVID-affected youth in urban and peri-urban
areas.
Specific Objectives:
 To recover the COVID/19 impacted losses of the existing enterprises
 To create new and develop existing youth entrepreneurs through training and
inclusion of financial services
 To create employment and to increase sustainable income of the entrepreneurs
through capacity development training.
Target Participants:
 COVID-affected micro-entrepreneurs receiving microfinance support
 Low-income youth and micro-entrepeneurs accessing business management track*
 Low-income youth accessing apprenticeship track*
